Elementary School (Grades K-6)

You Matter. Your Choices Matter.

Growing up means learning how to make safe and healthy choices. Sometimes things can feel confusing—but you never have to figure it out alone.

What to Remember:

  • Only take medicine if a trusted adult gives it to you
  • If something feels unsafe or uncomfortable, it’s okay to say no
  • Big feelings happen—and that’s okay
  • Grown-ups are here to help keep you safe
  • You deserve to feel safe, included, and cared for

Healthy ways to feel better:

  • Move your body (play outside, dance, stretch)
  • Draw, color, or build something
  • Take slow, deep breaths
  • Spend time with friends or family who make you feel good
  • Talk to a trusted adult about how you feel

Mini Challenge (BKPP-style):

Do one kind thing today—share, help a classmate, or say something kind to someone.

Middle School (Grades 7-8)

Every Voice Matters. Every Choice Counts.

Middle school is full of pressure—online and in real life. Being informed helps you stay safe and make choices you feel proud of.

What to Remember:

  • If someone offers you a pill, it could be fake—even if it looks real
  • If you feel stressed, overwhelmed, or anxious, you’re not alone
  • Asking for help is a strength, not a weakness
  • You deserve friends who respect your boundaries

Healthy ways to cope (try one today):

  • Move your body (walk, dance, sports, stretching)
  • Music, art, or journaling
  • Time with people who make you feel safe
  • Taking a break from social media
  • Talking to a trusted adult

Mini Challenge (BKPP-style):

Choose one kind action today—encourage someone, include someone, or check in on a friend.

High School (Grades 9–12)

Your Story. Your Power.

High school decisions can shape your future fast. The safest choice is simple: never take a pill that wasn’t prescribed to you and filled by a pharmacy.

Know the facts:

  • Fake pills can contain fentanyl and other dangerous substances
  • Pills can be purchased online and through social media
  • You cannot tell what’s in a pill by looking at it
  • “One time” can turn into an emergency

Protect your future:

  • Choose friends who support your goals
  • Don’t let social pressure make decisions for you
  • If you’re struggling mentally, reach out early—help works

Help a Friend

How to Help a Friend (Without Making It Worse)

If you think a friend is struggling:

  • Stay calm and stay kind
  • Listen without judging
  • Don’t promise secrecy if safety is at risk
  • Get a trusted adult immediately

If someone is unconscious, not breathing normally, or won’t wake up:

Call 911 right away.

You matter. Your life matters. Your choices matter.
